Results

Dream Courts

In 2024, we started construction of Dream Courts. This is new state of the art 41,000 sq. ft. multi-court sports complex. This project represents a significant investment by the city council in our youth.

Marina Center

In 2023, we re-opened the Marina Center as a youth development and recreation center for our youth. This represents a significant investment by the city council in our youth.

Sprouts

We will welcome Sprouts Grocery Store at the new Shoppes at San Marco in fall of 2024. Juan spearheaded this effort to bring more commercial retail to the west part of the city.

In 2017, Juan voted to add Pittsburg to Marin Clean Energy (MCE) service area which brought to our residents a choice in our electric energy provider. MCE’s board of directors is comprised of local elected officials which offers local control over our energy provider. Not only does this provide choice to our resident’s between PG&E or MCE, it offers a truly renewable choice at competitive rates.

In 2019, As Mayor, Juan welcomed Bombardier as a new manufacturing business in Pittsburg. Through a combined local, county and state effort Pittsburg became the new home of Bombardier, a train manufacturer, who has started operations in Pittsburg by manufacturing the Bart Cars of the Future. This is a great addition to Pittsburg and an increase in good paying local jobs.
